How To Setup Overview Store Magento 2?

In this tutorial, I gonna show you steps to setup overview store Magento 2 – the common configuration of Magento store.
Admin panel > Stores > Configuration
On the upper left-hand side of the page, you can see a list of configuration scope. And today, we’re going to working on it completely.

1. General

In this section, you can find Country Options where you can select default country and specify list of countries that can male orders on you shop.
Also, you can add information about State Options, Store Information, and Single-Store Mode. Under Locale Options, you can set Timezone, Locale, Weight Unit, First day of Week, Weekend Days which are suitable for your store.

2. Web

Remember, in this section, there are all things for web settings, so do not modify them unless you know what particular setting means.
This section includes:
-URL Options
-Search Engine Optimization
-Base URLs
-Base URLs (Secure)
-Default Pages
-Default Cookie Settings
-Session Validation Settings
-Browser Capabilities Detection

3. Design

This section contains Search Engine Robots in which you can set Default Robots (this will be included before head closing tag in page HTML), Edit custom instruction of robots.txt File and Reset to Default which will delete your custom instructions and reset robots.txt file to system’s default settings.

4. Currency

Next comes the Currency Setup that I did mention in the previous blog. Please follow this link for detailed instruction.

5. Email

In Email section, you can set up General Contact, Sales Representative, Customer Support, Custom Email 1 and Custom Email 2.

6. Contacts

In Contacts section, you can enable/disable Contact Us mode, and setup Email Options such as Send Emails To, Email Sender and Email Template.

7. Reports

In Reports section, you can set Year-To-Date Starts and Current Month Stars.

8.Content Management

Content Management section allows you to set configuration for WYSIWYG editor. You are recommended to set Disabled mode. Most WYSIWYG editors improperly interpret HTML code and add their own code.
It is essential to use the default code without any additional tags in order to get the proper layout of custom modules. That is why it is highly recommended to edit custom modules without WYSIWYG editors.

9. New Relic Reporting

This is the last section in General Configuration.
Under General setting of this section, choose system value or not. Then you can add New Relic Account ID, New Relic Application ID, New Relic API Key, Insights API Key, New Relic Application Name.
One more thing belongs to this section is Cron enable/disable. Several Magento features require at least one cron job, which schedules activities to occur in the future.
